Summer Time Fun!

“Summer time is always the best of what might be” - Charles Bowden

Family/Children Swim Extended on Weekends

Please be advised that beginning in July, Family/Children Swim will be extended on weekends and holidays only to 3:00-6:00 PM. During this time families and children have priority over lappers in the deep end of the pool. Family/Children Swim is only called when a lifeguard is on duty and through Labor Day. Family/Children Swim will remain 3:00-4:30 PM on weekdays.

Summertime Club Security

Summer has arrived! The Club will be alive with members enjoying the facilities (if the fog doesn’t ruin our fun) so it is critical that we all remain vigilant. Keep your valuables safe and always report any strange or suspicious behavior to the Club office. DO NOT approach or confront anyone, rather immediately inform the staff person on duty

Never leave anything of value or anything that could be construed as valuable, visible through your vehicle windows when parking in the Club’s parking lot! If leaving valuables in your trunk do so before you arrive at the Club. Opportunists could be watching you!

It is sad but true that under the cover of being alone in the locker rooms a locked locker can be opened in a matter of seconds. Use the locked storage in the downstairs hall for car keys, wallets, cell phones, and anything of value. DO NOT LOCK VALUABLES IN LOCKER ROOM LOCKERS!

“Panic buttons” have been installed in both locker rooms. Use them to alert the office that there is a situation that needs attention.

Welcome Back, Kevin!

It is our pleasure to welcome Kevin back to the fold! Stop by the office and give him a warm welcome!

T’ai Chi Chih

INTENTION, ATTENTION, PRACTICE— These are the keys to getting the most reward from any meditative practice, such as T’ai Chi Chih. First, set your intention— what you intend to receive from your practice; second, keep your attention, or awareness on what is happening in your body, mind, and emotions during your practice; and third, maintain a regular practice.

To learn more about this, please visit our T’ai Chi Chih class on Friday mornings at 9:00 AM. For more information, please call Nina Gibson at 510-525-6116. $10 per class or $40 per month.
